Atria on the Hudson is sited near the Hudson River in Westchester County. Drawing on the wealth of open space on the property and the existing building amenities, the project is being positioned as an active community for its residents.
The comprehensive landscape redevelopment plan includes walking paths, fitness stations, bocce courts and community gardens across the site. Additionally, the exterior of the facility will undergo a complete transformation involving a resurfacing of the building's skin to incorporate natural elements such as wood and stone. Porches and terraces in resident apartments will provide residents with a strong connection to the natural environment.
The interior of the building will focus on fitness as well. The area around the existing pool will serve as a wellness center, with an exercise room and spa which incorporates aqua therapy, sauna, and massage rooms. On the entry level, all programmatic spaces are organized around courtyards, both internal and external. The interior concept brings in the outdoors through landscape elements and the creation of an internal piazza at the entrance.
Atria Senior Living is committed to providing a healthy lifestyle for the residents, staff and visitors to the community. As such, Atria on the Hudson has achieved a LEED silver certification.
