Tel Aviv Red Line

Tel Aviv, Israel

IBI Group was selected by Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd., the responsible authority for the planning and implementation of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Red Line in Metropolitan Tel Aviv Area, as the Architectural and Engineering team to plan and design the 10 underground stations of the Red line.

The Red Line is the first of eight planned light rail and rapid transit lines, representing Tel Aviv’s new initiative to bring light rail service from the heart of the city to the outer municipalities of Ramat Gan and Bnei Brak. As planned, the Red Line is approximately 23 km long, of which 11.5 km are at grade level and comprise 23 Stops. The additional 11.5 km are underground and comprise 10 subterranean stations in one of the most population dense areas in Israel. The Red Line route will be one of the most heavily used traffic corridors in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
