Brooklyn, New York
The project consists of 410,000 sf in a 31-story tower with ground floor retail and a 439 parking space garage at the base. Completed in 2006, this 267 unit condominium building was designed for The Hudson Companies, Inc. and Cara Construction. The most striking architectural feature of the building is the sail-like window wall on the southern façade above the Manhattan Bridge. This feature is an iconic element on the Brooklyn skyline which reads as a gateway to DUMBO. A landscaped entry court is provided at the residential lobby at the corner of Jay and Front Streets. The serrated floor plan provides corner window views for apartments on the north and south facades, maximizing the exterior exposure from all apartments. Corner living rooms are provided with floor to ceiling windows.
