New York, New York
A collaboration with BVN Architecture
Office interiors project at One World Trade Center in collaboration with BVN Architecture. BVN & IBI Group- Gruzen Samton collaborated from the initial RFP response and won the project together. Design team members from both firms worked in the IBI Group NYC office on a three day charrette to establish the workplace accommodation objectives to reinforce the Stanford d.school inspired mandates given by Infosys.
IBI Group-Gruzen Samton is the architect of record and obtained the Pre-Qualification from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to provide architectural services for the Tenant Alteration Application for this project. The project design commenced July 1 2016 and the occupancy date was February 1 2017; notably all work was delivered on time and on budget using union trades. IBI Group-Gruzen Samton orchestrated and expedited all approvals and signoffs with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) for the project.
The open space layout was enhanced by introducing a cork finished raised platform that acts as a hierarchical barrier between the window wall and desk area. The raised edge also acts as continuous bench seat to be used in many ways, and provides an even better view of the NYC skyline.
