New York, New York
A collaboration with BVN Architecture
Office interiors project at One World Trade Center in collaboration with BVN Architecture. BVN & IBI Group – Gruzen Samton collaborated from the initial RFP response and won the project together. Design team members from both firms worked in the IBI Group NYC office on a three to establish the workplace accommodation objectives to reinforce the Stanford d.school inspired mandates given by Infosys.
The open ceiling-ed space is designed for activity-based work; multi-function and movable elements include movable stadium seating, sliding whiteboard panels, retractable devices, and dry-erase paint surfaces on all walls, tabletops, and column enclosures From the intimate wood encased entry portal the space opens to a “village green” where large shared work tables flank the pantry and stadium seating area as a focal point. The village green is the heart of the space that all users transverse. This is intentionally planned in a way to encourage serendipitous innovations between various people who may not cross paths in a traditional setting.
